CANADIAN CLUB LUNCHEON WITH SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER BILL RICHARDSON
Date: Thursday, October 24, 2002
Time: 12 noon TO 1:30pm
Where: Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Simon Fraser University
Asia Pacific Hall
Tickets: $20
The BC Museums Association, in conjunction with the Canadian Club, is
pleased to present Bill Richardson as guest speaker at an informal luncheon.
Join us in the Asian Pacific Hall at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue
as Bill Richardson explores The Two Hour Curator: Building a Museum of the
Air. In his usual humorous style, Bill will discuss the idea of stories as
artifacts and the radio as a kind of museum.
Bill Richardson is a well-known CBC Host on both Radio One and Radio Two. In
1997, Bill took over Radio One's weekday timeslot with Richardson's Roundup,
but previously hosted As you Like It on Radio Two. Not only is Bill a
popular broadcaster, but a well-known columnist, writer and humourist. He
has written ten books, including The Bachelor Brothers Bed and Breakfast,
which won the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour in 1994.
Please join us for an enjoyable informal luncheon. Tickets are $20 and can
be purchased by emailing, calling or faxing the BC Museums Association
Conference Office, or by registering on-line through the BCMA web site at
www.museumsassn.bc.ca/
This event is open to the general public.
