C. Museums Association has issued this Request for Qualifications
(RFQ) by interested and qualified museum professionals to research,
review, compile and develop specific training modules concerning
museum operation in the Province of BC. These modules will be
published to the BC Museums Association website and be made
available to member institutions to serve as operational guidelines and
models of achievable success. Modules will also be used as a basis for
future workshop and conference session content, advisory services
and as ready reference for museum staff orientation.</span></font></div>

porting to the Project Coordinator, the contractor will assume
responsibility for completion of one or more of the identified modules
that will comprise the initial phase of the BCMA’s “Best Practic=
es
Module Development Project”. The BPMDP is a BCMA initiative to
provide capacity-building support for BC museums with a series of
contemporary, readily accessible, online “best practices” refere=
nce and
training modules addressing the essential elements of museum
governance, operations and collections management. Completion of
this Project will form the basis for the overall updating of “Standar=
ds for
BC Museums” guidelines.</span></font></div>

Coordinator, the contractor will compile a set of best practices
guidelines under the given subject area, both from existing
standards and additions based on professional experience and
practice, that are particular to museum operation in British
Columbia;           =
