[BCMA MBEN] BC2008 Funds for Museums Announced by Minister

- The Honourable Stan Hagen, Minister of Tourism, Sport
and the Arts, has announced a $350,000 grants program available to
BC’s museums, art galleries, historic sites and heritage institutions=
for
special exhibits and events commemorating BC2008—the Province’s
celebration of the 150<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the founding of the Cro=
wn
Colony of British Columbia in 1858.</span></font></div>

uncement was made at historic Helmcken House in
Victoria on May 17 on the eve of International Museums Day.</span></font><=

sociation will administer the program, entitled
<b>Pride in Our Communities: BC2008 Local Museums Program</b>,
which will offer matching project grants up to a maximum of $10,000.</span=
