Greetings from the BCMA office!  We hope you've had a great summer.:

As September approaches, a number of deadlines are looming.

for our annual conference, before rates increase *SEPTEMBER 15.*

Our host hotel, the Whistler Hilton Resort and Spa, is offering a special
low room rate for those who book *BEFORE SEPTEMBER 12.*

Our fantastic Conference Co-chairs, Catherine Ouellet-Martin of the Beaty
Biodiversity Museum and Scott Marsden of Haida Gwaii Museum, have developed
a jam-packed program that includes three keynote presentions --  by Dr.
Anthony Shelton of the Museum of Anthropology, Dr. Jack Lohman of the Royal
BC Museum, and international museum consultant Elaine Heumann Gurian -- and
presentations and hands-on-workshops that will enlighten, educate and
motivate.

We'll also socialize (of course) and celebrate our nominees for the BCMA
Awards for Outstanding Achievement, visit the new Audain Art Museum, the
Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre and the small-but-mighty Whistler Museum.
