[BCMA Members Only] Accessibility projects

Hello BCMA members-
I know many of you are embarking (or have already completed) important
projects at your institutions that improve accessibility for people with
disabilities. We hope you will consider sharing those projects with the
Accessibility Secretariat so they can highlight such stories within their
forthcoming "Accessibility 2024 Year 3 Progress Update" report.

The submission information is below and the deadline is April 17, 2017.

I hope you will be able to take the time to send in descriptions of
applicable projects and help highlight the important work our museum and
cultural heritage sector is doing in this area.

The Accessibility Secretariat, Ministry of Social Development and Social
Innovation, is collecting community stories for our Accessibility 2024 Year
3 Progress Update. This is a public report that shares initiatives and
projects that are improving accessibility for people with disabilities in
B.C.


BCMA members are encouraged to send short paragraphs on initiatives that
you are working on to improve accessibility for people with disabilities in
- or visiting - your organization. Photos and quotes from members of the
public are great too, if available. All previous reports are posted online
<http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/governments/about-the-bc-government/accessibility/report-library/two-year-progress-update>
for a review of the style and format.



The deadline for submissions is April 17, 2017. Submissions can be in a
word document, or as the body of an email.
