Hello everyone!



As co-chair of the BCMA Awards Committee, I’d like to take a moment to let
you know that the nomination process for the 2017 BCMA Awards for
Outstanding Achievement is now open!



By now, you might even have received a phone call from one of the Awards
Committee members, encouraging you to submit a nomination. We really hope
you will! There are so many wonderful, innovative things going on in
museums, archives, science and discovery centres, and art galleries all
across the province – we want to hear about them, so you can get the
recognition you deserve.



The Awards Committee has been working hard to revise the awards categories
and refine the nomination form, and all of this is now available on the
BCMA website: http://museumsassn.bc.ca/awards/outstanding-
achievement/criteria-nomination/. Deadline for nominations is June 22, so
don’t delay! If you have any questions or need some advice, please don’t
hesitate to contact me or another member of the Awards Committee.



While I’m at it, I’d like to thank the Awards Committee members for all
their work on this year’s nomination process, and everyone at the BCMA
office for making everything go so smoothly behind the scenes.
