Author and historian Dr. Richard Mackie will be presenting a photo slide 
show on the Comox Logging Company. Get a glimpse into the past as Dr. 
Mackie relates the names and experiences of some of Vancouver Island's 
logging pioneers.

Dr. Mackie is a respected historian and award-winning author known for 
his meticulous research and engaging writing style. Dr. Mackie’s is also 
known for his ability to bring the people and experiences to life 
through his photo presentations and story telling. He enables the 
audience to relate to what life was like in the early days of settlement 
on Vancouver Island.

If you are interested in history, the logging and forest industry or if 
you are just curious about the history of your community this 
presentation will be of interest to you.
