Responsibilities:
=B7 Help to undertake an inventory of the artifacts in the Museum's =
collection.=20
=B7 Enter information into a searchable database.
=B7 Digitization of artifacts and historic newspapers.
=B7 Development of online exhibit with Archives Manager.
=B7 Prepare boxes and other storage containers for artifacts in =
storage room.
=B7 Update Emergency Plan.
=B7 Other collections management tasks, as required.

Requirements:
=B7 Currently enrolled in an Archives Program, Museum Studies, =
Anthropology, History or other related discipline.
=B7 Previous experience working with artifacts in a museum or =
archives environment an asset.
=B7 Strong attention to detail required.
=B7 Ability to work independently required.
=B7 Basic knowledge of digital cameras and Adobe Photoshop =
recommended.
=B7 Working knowledge of MS Access preferred.
=B7 Must be a full or part-time student returning to school in =
September 2007.

Responsibilities: Programming
=B7 Aid in the delivery of museum gallery tours, heritage walking =
tours, public education days and City events (ie. Canada Day).
=B7 Aid in the development of a self-guided walking tour =
brochure.
=B7 Aid in the development of a Native Plant Garden brochure.

Responsibilities: Gift Shop
=B7 Assist with the processing of sales, daily close out and =
inventory control.
=B7 Help to maintain and develop store image/appearance =
(assisting in display set-up, stocking shelves, cleaning and tidying).
=B7 Assist with receiving, pricing and stocking of new =
merchandise.

Requirements:
=B7 1st or 2nd year community college/ university student =
preferably with retail experience and an interest in public education
=B7 Outgoing, energetic personality

=B7 Interest in local history and the arts
