We have an adult supervision policy in our school program brochure. At
the CMC, we require that for every 10 children or youths ages 3-17, that
there be 1 adult supervisor. In the Children's Museum it is 1 adult for
every 5 children.

We do not have such a rule.
Pre-schoolers are admitted without charge and are generally kept in
check by the adults.
There have been exceptions.
A picture was ripped off the wall and the glass broken on one occasion,
fortunately without injury.
On another visit a child knocked a precious plate off the wall [in it's
holder] and it broke.
The parents in either case did not offer any compensation.
On one school tour damage was so severe that the teacher made the class
make some benches in shop class which they sold and then turned the
money over to us to repair spinning wheels etc.
This class did not return.
It is these 'supervised' children that are the greatest problem
Of course, we do not have enough bodies to supervise the children as
they wander through the site.
