Hello Lauren,

We have seen your query regarding information on aboriginals in sport for
the BC Sorts Hall of Fame.
It would be helpful to us if we had a little more information to narrow down
your search.

What time period are you interested in? Pre-European contact? Are you
interested in only sports that first nations played on the reserve or with
other first nations groups? Are you interested in Photographs that were
played here in Delta that had Tsawwassen Frst Nations participants?

We have local newspapers on microfilm from 1890-1990s, reference files with
clippings regarding sport and Tsawwassen First nations, archaeological and
anthropological studies of the Delta area, an exhibit on Lacrosse, photos
taken on the TFN reserve, photographs of lacrosse and sporting events which 
may include TFN players and we also have some memoirs here of TFN residents.
If you are looking for more detailed primary records and photos it may be
also beneficial to contact the Tsawwassen First Nations.

When we can narrow down your search we can be more specific as to what we
have that may be of interest to you. You are welcome to come in and take a
look at our records and reference materials. There is a charge for any
research you would like us to do over one hour.

Hi!
My name is Lauren Milden and I am working with the BC Sports Hall of Fame
and Museum to try to locate primary and secondary sources that relate to
Aboriginals and sport in British Columbia. This can include, for  example,
feats
of strength, games etc.   I would really appreciate it if you
could give me an idea of the sources that your museum might house
or any other worthwhile places to search.
