*Labour Day Fall Fair & Free Carousel Rides*

Date: Monday, September 3, 2007

Time: 11:00am-4:30pm

Admission: $5.00-$10.00

Location: Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby, BC

Come enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of an old-fashioned country fair!

Burnaby Village Museum will host its annual Fall Fair on Labour Day,
Sept 3^rd . Visit the animals in the petting zoo; find out the future
from Fortune Teller Madame Katarina; or catch a ride in a 1920’s Model T
Ford.

Cheer, clap and sing along with Footlight Theatre’s old time Vaudeville
show. Step out with the Westburn Wranglers square dancing troupe.

Families can join in such Heritage Games as the Corn Shucking Relay and
the Watermelon Eating Contest. There will be face painting, candy floss
and a chance to test your Veggie IQ.

Drop by the model train display and talk to members of the Train Gang.
Ever wondered how those gorgeous patchwork quilts are made? Stop by for
a chat with the Pacific Spirit Quilters Guild. They’ll be at the Fall
Fair with examples of their handiwork and lots of sewing tips.

And, of course, rides on the 1912 CW Parker Carousel are FREE on Labour
Day thanks to CUPE Local 23 and the Burnaby Parks, Recreation & Culture
Commission.
