Alternator Gallery for Contemporary Art
Media Coordinator (part-time, temporary)
DEADLINE: September 10, 2007
The Alternator Gallery for Contemporary Art is seeking a part-time
media coordinator to oversee operations of the Alternator Media Arts
Centre.
The coordinator will provide technical support to artists using the
centre and oversee equipment access, maintenance and security. The
coordinator will work to encourage an emerging media arts community
in the Okanagan by coordinating and promoting media arts activities
that include commissioning projects as well as a series of screenings
and workshops.
The coordinator needs a strong familiarity with the Mac platform and
video editing / DVD authoring software, including Final Cut Pro, and
familiarity with contemporary media arts practices. He/she should be
a responsible team player with good communications and multi-tasking
skills who is willing to take initiative and produce results.
Approximately 10 hours per week, flexible schedule
Start date: September 18, 2007
Wages: $12 per hour
