This is grand news! A plan has been long needed so that there is the
potential to successfully access some of the leaverage funding that is
often available with the local and/or regional tourism associations.

VICTORIA (Feb 22/07) - The provincial government is providing $50,000 to
the BC Museums Association, on the behalf of a consortium of provincial
heritage organization and private sector heritage operators, to
implement a provincial History & Heritage Sector tourism marketing plan,
Tourism, Sport and the Arts Minister Stan Hagen announced today...at the
Council of Tourism Association's Tourism Industry Conference in
Victoria, BC...
