Job Description

Exhibit Planner and Designer:
We have a couple of openings for an architect, interior or industrial
designer to help our clients plan and design memorable experiences for thei=
r
visitors. Do you have extremely well developed hand sketching abilities as
well as the ability to think outside the box? Do you have a minimum of thre=
e
to five years design experience working on museum, science center or
interpretive center projects as well as a proficiency in Vectorworks and Ma=
c
based graphic programs.

Responsibilities:
=80 Plays a strong role in the initial direction of the work, including the
project management planning, research, theming, envisioning process,
functional programming and architectural direction.
=80 Directs the general design process and develops interpretive strategies
and exhibit programs.
=80 Collaborates with the researchers and writers to develop a narrative
structure for themes, stories and experiences, and find key ideas that will
make a solid concept.
=80 Develops the space plan: an overall organization of exhibits and
circulation, a sequence of experiences and messages, a =8Csense of place=B9 and
collection of icons.
=80 Prepares hand sketched orthographic drawings for use in client
communication as well as manufacturing
=80 Orchestrates many diverse design requirements, from a client=B9s operationa=
l
and communicative goals, to visitors=B9 needs and budgetary realities.
=80 Involves the client throughout the creative process and communicates the
project vision as it develops.
