    YCW UPDATE: Deadline extended to July 27


*Ottawa, July 17, 2007 —* The federal government recently announced 
additional funding for student employment in small and mid-sized 
museums, to be administered through the Canadian Museums Association’s 
Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program, effective 
immediately.

To help accommodate the increased number of applicants, the deadline for 
new YCW applications has been extended to July 27, 2007.

Organizations that meet the definition of museum 
<http://www.museums.ca/en/info_resources/reports_guidelines/museum_definition/> 
and that have annual operating budgets of less than $1 million per year 
are eligible to apply for this new funding.

You can submit new applications online at www.youngcanadaworks.ca 
<http://www.youngcanadaworks.ca>. Please include “NEW JOB" in the 
proposed job title.
