Hi Rashmi,
I have done this for a number of exhibits - any designer should be able =
to create a document ready for the shop to print. A few thoughts:
- I found it best if the photograph illustrates the person =
standing straight ... no hands on hips, etc, esp if the cut-out is to be =
free standing.
- Have it mounted on at least a =BC inch foam board.
- Have it professionally printed and mounted by a company with =
some experience at printing/mounting applications for museums. They =
will have suggestions for finishes, substrate, etc that will increase =
the durability of the cut-out in an exhibit/visitor environment. They =
will also have suggestions for how to mount this (ie. If you are =
mounting on a wall, perhaps you can use a cleat, if its free standing - =
how to build the base, etc).

Hi,
=20
I was considering putting in a life-size photograph cutout of a person =
for one of our upcoming exhibits.
=20
Has anyone who has done this willing to share their expertise with me?
I was also wondering about printing shops recommendations for the same?
=20
Thanks
Rashmi Narayan
