The Art Gallery of the South Okanagan presents it’s 30th Anniversary
Art Auction and Fine Art Appraisal Day featuring Doug Levis of Levis
Fine Art Auctions of Calgary

The Art Gallery of the South Okanagan is proud to present its 30th
Annual Fine Art Auction and sale on Friday June 15th at the Penticton
Lakeside Resort. The donated works are currently on display at the Art
Gallery of the South Okanagan and if you are unable to attend the
auction, absentee bids can be left at the gallery or online at

The appraisal day will take place at the Art Gallery of the South
Okanagan on Thursday June 14th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and the cost is 
$20
for three verbal appraisals. Members of the public are invited to
attend either as spectators or to have your items appraised on a first
come, first served basis. To reserve your place in advance, or if you
have a larger collection and would like to arrange a home visit,
please call the gallery at (250) 492-2928.

This year’s art auction will be conducted by Doug Levis and will
feature over 100 works of art by artists from across the country and
international, and will also feature a whole host of amazing packages
with a combined value of well over $125,000. This is a unique
opportunity to acquire significant works or art by both local and
nationally recognized artists who have donated major works in support
of the AGSO and our ongoing programming. Tickets for this major 
event
are $65.00 for gallery members; $75.00 for non-members, and seating 
is
limited to 250, so reserve your place early as tickets to this popular
annual event are going fast.

The night will also feature the raucous Celtic musical styling of
Victoria’s up-and-coming band, Roof Rabbit, featuring Jude Pelley on
mandola, vocals and tin whistle, Adam Iredale-Gray on fiddle, and
Jenny Ritter on guitar and tenor banjo.

The works available can be viewed prior to the auction at the Art
Gallery of the South Okanagan or online at:
