Hello,
I am doing some research for a friend who has some early works of art
by H. Faulkner-Smith who lived and painted in Boundary Bay and who
taught art in Vancouver. My friend knew the artist as a friend of the
family and was given the pieces directly by the artist, and she has
asked if I can locate any institutions with collections of this
artist's artworks or fonds.
Does anyone have, or know of, an archives that includes this Vancouver
artist/art instructor? One painting of historical interest (1930's)
shows fishing boats stranded at low tide at Boundary Bay with fishermen
working on their nets.
Harold Thomas Faulkner-Smith, 1893-1972 -- the artist immigrated to
Canada in 1913 and passed away in Burnaby.
Thank you,
