Dear British Columbia Museum Association,
I am pleased to announce a unique opportunity in the field of cultural
and heritage tourism. The 9^th annual *Cultural and Heritage Tourism
Alliance Conference* will be held this year in Seattle, November 28^th –
December 1^s 2007. This is the first time that this hands-on conference
has been held in the Northwest since 1999. We will be hosting
professionals from throughout the region and across North America in
order to learn, network, and address the shared opportunities and
challenges of this growing sector of the travel industry.
CHTA is a North American group of arts and culture marketers,
preservationists, travel professionals, and consultants who share a
common vision of promoting culture, heritage and arts to an audience
eager to experience a place through its cultural richness and diversity.
The 2007 conference will integrate lectures by nationally renowned
industry experts, networking events, and “mobile workshops” that
showcase prime examples of how cultural tourism can work in real
environments.
We will explore topics such as:
*/Changing Technology /*/– New Frontiers, Fads, and Tipping Points/
*/The Change in /**/America/**/’s Reputation in the World /*/– and How
it Affects Tourism/
*/What’s New in Cultural Tourism Product Development/*/ – Heritage
Trails, Music Trails, Culinary Tourism & More/
And much more!
We hope that you can assist us in announcing this opportunity to those
in your community who may be interested. Please visit our website
