Fancy a good read? The Museum at Campbell River is holding its second =
annual GIANT BOOK SALE on March 17 and 18, 2007, offering an amazing =
assortment of titles and old maps and charts too.
Hordes of book lovers thronged the Museum for last year's sale, =
inspiring the plan to make it an annual event. Staff members say =
donations have been pouring in throughout the year and volunteers =
regularly roll up their sleeves to sort the infinite variety into =
categories. Collectibles, such as first editions and rarities, will be =
offered in a silent auction. The sale tables also are sure to produce =
some "finds" for diverse interests.=20
As a bonus, sale goers entering the Museum are treated to the =
spectacular view of Discovery Passage and can enjoy a special =
photography exhibit in the gallery where the book sale is held.=20
On the Sunday afternoon, 1 pm - 3 pm, noted author Myrna Kostash will =
speak and answer questions about the career of a writer. Cost of this =
program is $6 and pre-registration is required; please phone 250 =
287-3103.
The Book Sale runs from noon to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday, March 17 =
and 18 at the Museum at Campbell River, 470 Island Highway. All proceeds =
go to buy needed artifacts for the Museum. For further information =
