Hello BC!
I am pleased to announce that the Historica 2008 BC calendar will be
officially unveiled at the Douglas Day celebrations in Fort Langley on
November 18th. The calendar will be distributed to high school
students throughout BC, and will soon be available in pdf format on
the Historica website.
Douglas Day includes a parade and activities at the Fort; James Marsh
(Editor in Chief, The Canadian Encyclopedia) will present the calendar
at approximately 3:30pm. If you live locally, please consider joining
Historica for this special event.
The calendar is the first of three Historica activities to celebrate
BC150 Years; we are also looking forward to the first-ever BC
Provincial Fair in May (Kamloops) and the National Fair in July
(Victoria).
This invitation is open to all - feel free to pass it along.
Best regards,
Becky.
