Hi again David. Thanks for soliciting suggestions....
Another one to suggest - digital imaging and management (or Digital
Assets Management/DAM). Big topic !
You could include some things like: file management (storage/backup -
external hard drive, flash drives, burning to cd or dvds or other
medium), printers and longevity of prints, image quality and resolution,
decisions about image type (tiff vs. raw/nef vs. jpg), image and
photography standards, metadata management, implications for long term
preservation, etc.
Thank-you,
Shelley Reid

Subject: [Bcma-l] Round Up Technology Topics?
Hello All,
We write the technology column - Geek Speak - for the Round Up and it
falls to me for the next issue to come up with something brilliant to
wow everyone with. We have covered the gamut of tech as it relates to
museums: podcasting, Second Life, RSS feeds, Wikis, blogs and open data
standards to name but a few. I would like to know what people want to
hear more about? Are there technology topics you wake up in the middle
of the night wondering about? Things that you think would improve your
everyday life? Let me know and I will tackle it in the next Round Up
issue.
Cheers,
David Alexander
