AUTUMN FUNDRAISER AT BC ORCHARD INDUSTRY MUSEUM

CELEBRATING THE HARVEST OF THE APPLE

 

19th ANNUAL APPLE FAIR

BC ORCHARD INDUSTRY MUSEUM

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20th, 2007

10:00AM - 3:00PM

 

The apple takes centre stage on Saturday, October 20th! Apple lovers will
have the chance to sample a variety of locally grown apples at the BC
Orchard Industry Museum's 19th Annual Apple Fair on Saturday, October 20th,
10:00am to 3:00pm inside the Laurel Packinghouse. Sample your favourites
such as Spartan, Ambrosia, McIntosh, and Aurora Golden Gala, and re-discover
many other tasty varieties, too! 

 

Kids of all ages will enjoy the assortment of apple treats during the
celebration of this delicious tree fruit. There will be live entertainment
throughout the day from the Brightside Cloggers and the Modern Voice and
Talent Vocal Performance School, hands-on children's activities, and free
face painting. Enjoy the antique tractor display along Cawston Avenue
courtesy of the Okanagan Antique Power Club, and then browse the wares of
local artisans and vendors during this fun-filled community event. Don't
forget to make a bid in the silent auction.

 

There will be a mouth-watering range of apple products including homemade
apple pie, apple 'n spice ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery, caramel
apples and candy apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, sparkling
applessence juice, and much more! 

 

Educational and hands-on children's activities centre on a 50-foot working
model railroad and the Learning Tree inside the BC Orchard Industry Museum.
Keep watch for the Apple Fairy as she makes her special annual appearance!

 

Join the festivities and celebrate the harvest of the apple on Saturday,
October 20th at the historic Laurel Packinghouse located at 1304 Ellis
Street, in the heart of Kelowna's Cultural District. Admission is $2 per
