The Maple Ridge Art Gallery cordially invites you to attend the opening
reception for

Wood: Naturally Inspired 

Come and meet some of the artists at the opening Saturday October20th 

from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. 

 

The Maple Ridge Art Gallery is pleased to present the work of eighteen
outstanding artists and artisans working in the media of wood. Art works
from BC and Alberta were received and juried, resulting in samples of some
of the best talent working in the media of wood. Over thirty-nine art works
will be presented in this exhibit.  

 

Visitors will be pleasantly surprised with the selection of sculptural,
functional, whimsical, and suggestive works, ranging in scale from miniature
to larger than life size. This exhibit highlights the inherent qualities and
versatility of wood through the eyes of emerging and mid career artists.
Visitors will experience highly sophisticated and imaginative pieces
inspired by found wood, traditions, geography, and utility.
