The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre strives to eradicate racism  
and social injustice by promoting human rights and genocide awareness  
through education and remembrance of the Holocaust. It is a small non- 
profit museum and resource centre, which reaches over 25,000 students  
and teachers annually with its innovative exhibits, interactive  
school programs and survivor speakers program. The Centre has been  
the recipient of numerous educational, museum and performance awards  
in recognition of outstanding anti-racism and multicultural work.

A successful candidate will have the opportunity to design every  
aspect of the VHEC’s printed material from conception to production.

The Communications and Design Coordinator is responsible for the  
production and design of all print and multimedia materials for the  
VHEC including:

Promotional material: posters, advertisements, brochures, annual  
reports, teachers’ guides and our quarterly newsletter

Exhibit material: one or more large format exhibits per year,  
reaching roughly 160 school groups, or 5,000 students

Responsible for maintaining the VHEC website and providing A/V and  
technical support for the organization, including administering and  
maintaining the server, computer stations and software.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
·       Minimum 2-3 years experience in the graphic design field
·       Diploma or degree from a recognized art college or university
·       Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and Macromedia Dreamweaver
·       Experience in Macromedia Flash an asset
·       A good understanding of print production
·       An excellent understanding of Macintosh computers
·       Deadline oriented and able to manage multiple projects  
simultaneously
·       Fluent English language skills

Salary: $31,000 - $35,000
