A national day of protest has been organized on Friday, April 11th,
2008 in response to the dismantling of the last of the CBC Radio
Orchestras and the proposed changes to CBC Radio 2. There will be
protests happening in major cities across the country throughout the
day. The protest here in Vancouver will take place at 775 Cambie
Street at 9am and is expected to last no more than 30 minutes.



Also, all concerned citizens are being called to attend a rally at the
second last performance of the Radio Orchestra at The Chan Centre for 
the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 20th. The rally begins at 2pm.
Another great way to show your support for the orchestra is to buy a
ticket to their performance, Great Canadian Songbook II, which
performs original arrangements of music by four classic Canadian
songwriters. Tickets can be found online at:
