The Yale Historic Site, a B.C. Heritage Site operated by the Yale and 
District Historical Society has a job posting for a Web Marketing 
Director For a period of 15 weeks at 30 hours per/wk starting May 15^th 
2008.

Job Description:

Web Site Development
Implementation of programs to increase the Yale Historic Sites’ presence 
on the web
Ongoing compilation of sites promoting the Yale Historic Site
Web marketing research
Development of contacts and coordination of marketing links and 
initiatives with contacts
Data base compilation
Negotiating and booking ad spaces regarding internet advertising
Photography to be used in promotional web and print material. – Organize 
a data base to appropriate DPI for web and print reproduction.
Create a portfolio to be used in future web marketing.
Customer services as required: phone calls, booking tours and greeting 
visitors.

Student Qualifications:

Self motivation and efficiency
Knowledge of computer programs, the use of database and excel
Solid understanding of web creation and development
Understanding of marketing and/or business
Communication skills – by phone, email and in person


This student will receive guidance from the site manager with this 
project to develop this site from a minute web presence to an active one.
Applicants must be students planning to return to full time studies in 
the fall and be registered with Young Canada Works.

Position is pending funding.
