[Bcma-l] Information request: suggestions for expert to contact re: antique (African?) carvings

Dear Listees,

I have been approached by the owner of four antique wooden carvings, 
possibly of African origin?
They are shown on this webpage: http://www.watersbiomedical.com/carvings/

The owners of the carvings would like some advice on an appropriate, 
knowledgeable expert to contact to better understand:

- more about the origin of these pieces
- a potential value assessment for these pieces,
and
- perhaps be provided with some suggestions of collections that may 
house artwork of a similar nature.

Does anyone have suggestions on appropriate contacts who may be able to 
discuss these works, or,
where to go to find related information or relevant contacts within the 
museum system?
I am not sure how best to direct this inquiry, so I appreciate any 
advice or suggestions any of you may have.
