Hello,

I have a framed photograph in my personal collection-- it was
purchased at J.R. Allen's (printing business?) in Nelson in the
1960's. I will gladly scan it for you although I don't know about
any copyright restrictions nor who owns the original negatives from
Allen's business -- perhaps archives in Nelson may have negatives or
prints available.

This photograph is a silver-gelatin print, handcoloured by Allen who
dry-mounted, added the title in blue ball-point pen ink on the
mounting board and framed the photo for sale in his shop. I don't
know who the original photographer was. My grandfather had been a sea
captain before immigrating to Canada and he ran a tugboat service with
on the West Arm-- the Nasookin was still in service when the family
lived in Proctor and he filled in as captain from time to time.

You might also contact Bob Turner at the RBCM as he used photos of all
the three sister ships in his book 'Sternwheelers and Steamtugs'.
I remember the tug called 'The Castlegar' at the Robson docks and that
might be of interest if you can find a photo.

Barbara
