Three Symposium Rapporteurs Needed (4 day event) DEADLINE March
1st, 2008

Background of the sculpture park
The Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park is planning biannual symposia to engage
a serious audience in the ongoing progressive contentions of modernism.
These symposia are intended for both artists and non-artists and will be a
forum for ongoing dialogues that build from the insights evolved with and
from Jeffrey Rubinoff¹s work.

Job description
There will be three rapporteurs at the event, one taking notes, and another
organizing ideas or researching participants¹ questions online. There will
be one relief rapporteur who may also be asked to help with logistics and
transportation as needed.


Duties
· Attending a half day training seminar

· Intensive note taking for the days during the symposium

· Assistance with on-site logistics and planning

· Driving a vehicle to deliver meals and participants


Qualifications
· Typing speed of 40 + words per minute

· At least 1-2 years of post-secondary experience (or equivalent
experience)

· Capacity for abstract thought

· Internet savvy

· Interest in art & proceedings of the symposium

· Drivers license is a bonus

· Available all day May 2nd ­ 6th and for a one day training on one
April weekend



Benefits
· $600 total honorarium

· Transportation to and from Hornby island

· Accommodation and meals for 4 nights

As we develop the agenda of the park, there may be future opportunities for
interested rapporteurs during upcoming symposia or other activities of the
Park.
