Volunteers Required --- Young Canada Works Program
The Canadian Museums Association (CMA) is recruiting volunteers to join
the 2008/09 Young Canada Works (YCW) Peer Review Committee. The
Committee will include heritage professionals at different stages of
their careers, representing Canada's various regions.
*How it works:
*CMA will mail YCW project proposals to the Committee members in March
2008. Committee members will then evaluate the project proposals based
on established criteria and provide CMA with funding recommendations.
*Note:* If you submitted a 2008/09 project proposal, you can serve as an
evaluator BUT for another region of Canada.
*Qualifications:*
* Museum professional (volunteer, employed or retired)
* Fluent in one official language, however ability to read both
official languages is preferred
* Able to commit a minimum of 25 hours to the evaluation of project
proposals in March
*Benefits to you:*
* Exposure to interesting organizations and project proposals from
across the country
* Increased understanding of the YCW program and the granting process
* Greater involvement with CMA
* No direct cost to you - CMA will cover all costs for the evaluation
* No travel required
*Ready to volunteer?*
