POSITION ADVERTISEMENT

The NANAIMO ART GALLERY SOCIETY is a not-for-profit society responsible for
the operation and programming of two gallery locations - one situated on the
campus of Malaspina University-College, the other in Nanaimo's downtown, at
150 Commercial Street.

The Society is looking for a part-time Gallery Manager to oversee the
activities of the two locations. The Manager will provide leadership and
direction for the staff and volunteers working with the gallery, and will
provide support to the Board of Directors and its committees. It is
imperative that the successful candidate has strong public relations skills.
The position will require a commitment of 20 hours a week, starting on April
1st, 2008.

The ideal candidate will have experience as an arts administrator and be an
effective manager of people - both paid staff and volunteers.
