BOWEN ISLAND COMMUNITY MUSEUM
Summer Speaker Series Kicks Off!
As part of our summer 2008 exhibit, The History of Theatre on Bowen, we are
hosting a Summer Speaker Series at the Museum & Archives. These guest talks
feature members of the local theatre community, including performers,
playwrights and more. Our first guest is
Paul Hooson - Saturday, July 5 - 2:00pm
Paul Hooson, a former student of renowned mime Marcel Marceau, has been a
full-time professional clown and puppeteer since 1975.
As Canada's first Therapeutic Clown Doctor, Paul is considered a gifted and
committed pioneer in the field. He is the founder of the Therapeutic Clown
Program at B.C. Children's Hospital, Sunnyhill Health Centre and Canuck
Place Hospice for Children in Vancouver.
Join us for an interactive Q&A with Paul where he will speak about these
programs and his professional clowning career.
Admission: Donations Gratefully Accepted
Please RSVP at (604) 947-2655 or bihistorians@telus.net so we can gauge how
many guests to expect.
However, should you decide on the day of the event that you would like to
attend, come on down anyway!
