Festival 150 B.C. Day Concert
Five-time Juno Award winner Leslie Feist will join platinum recording
artist Sarah McLachlan at a free concert on the lawn of the Parliament
Buildings on Aug. 4. The show will be kicked off with a performance by
big band legend Dal Richards. The B.C. Day festivities are part of
Festival 150, a free, family-oriented celebration that will take place
from Aug. 1-4 in Victoria's Inner Harbour.

HSBC Celebration of Light
Since 1990, Vancouver has been home to the Celebration of Light, an
international pyro-musical fireworks competition. The competition
attracts an estimated 1.4 million people every year. The final night of
the competition, which takes place on Aug. 2, is sponsored by BC150 and
will feature a multi-media extravaganza of fireworks, laser lights and
music to tell a compelling story of the building of British Columbia for
up to 400,000 spectators.
