Instructor: Richard Shorty, Tlingit

On Tuesday August 5th the Bill Reid Gallery is offering a half-day 
workshop for youth and adults to learn the fundamentals of Northwest 
Coast Art drawing. The course will take place between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. 
This will be the Gallery's first of a series of courses on Northwest 
Coast Art. The cost of the course including supplies will be $40.00 and 
all participants will leave with a drawing of an Eagle or Raven. Weather 
permitting the course will be held on our outdoor patio.

Seating is limited - to register please phone the Bill Reid Art Gallery 
at 604-682-3455 and ask for the Kil Sli Native Gift Shop.

Richard Shorty was born in Whitehorse, Yukon and is Tlingit. Richard has 
brought a new dimension to Aboriginal art by merging traditional style 
and a realistic flair. He currently resides in Vancouver.
