EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR=20

The Fraser River Discovery Centre, located in New Westminster, British =
Columbia, is an exciting, newly-expanded, interpretive centre that =
connects visitors to the River's history, environments, industry, people =
and communities. Interactive displays utilizing the latest technologies =
and resources provide education and entertainment. The Preview Centre, =
which opened in 2001, closed in the fall of 2007 to enable the expansion =
that would more than triple its size. The Discovery Centre will be =
re-opening this fall.=20

This is a challenging opportunity for an Executive Director with 10 -15 =
years experience in educational, historical and science-related =
programming, supervision, and volunteer management. In this role you =
will work closely with a Board of Directors to implement the strategic =
plan for the Centre and build partnerships with communities and =
organizations along the length of the Fraser River and the Fraser River =
Basin. This is a full time salaried position with responsibility for =
building the infrastructure of the organization, overseeing and =
supporting events, programming, fundraising, financial management and =
communications.=20

The Board is looking for a motivated individual, skilled in building and =
developing partnerships with the ability to work independently and make =
effective and timely decisions. The successful candidate will have 7+ =
years in an equivalent position with a not-for-profit organization.=20
