On June 19th the public are invited to 'bee' part of an open house to
highlight the Penticton Museum's new exhibit on the environment:

'Natural Penticton - A Century of Transforming Landscapes'

The open house celebrates the fifth exhibit in the museum's ongoing
Centennial Exhibit Series to mark the City's 100th birthday. The event
will feature special presentations by Kevin Dunn and Janelle
Parchomchuk of Okanagan Wildbrush Honey on the fascinating lives
of
bees and the important role they play in the environment. Honey
tasting will be on offer and visitors will have a chance to get
up-close and personal with live bees!

The 'Natural Penticton' exhibit explores the many natural and human
forces that have shaped Penticton's landscape over the decades.
From desert habitats to invasive species, from flooding creek beds to
concrete river channels, the exhibit charts the changes Penticton has
experienced to its surrounding environment and the challenges it faces
in the future. The exhibit runs from June 6th - June 24th in the
Atkinson Gallery.
