"Please take this important opportunity to consider and nominate
colleagues, organizations, volunteers, or sponsors deserving recognition
for their efforts, contributions, or dedication to your institution and
the province's museums, art galleries and heritage community," - Kris
Andersen, Director, BCMA Council's Awards Portfolio.
"This year, in view of our increasing awareness of the 'greening' of our
communities, nominations of projects or initiatives that incorporate
green concepts, of help to promote green standards and practices in the
culture and heritage field, are encouraged."
Successful nominees will be announced at the BCMA's provincial Awards
Banquet at Conference 2008, on Friday, November 21, 2008 in Victoria, BC.
Recipients will be presented with the prestigious /Museums in Motion/

"The Awards Committee understands the pressures of our profession. Time
to prepare a nomination may be hard to find--but we must make every
effort to recognize and to thank our contributors and supporters. The
benefits our institutions and communities reap from the support of
others far surpass the challenges of making the time to nominate and
show our appreciation."
