The Manitoba Museum, a not-for-profit institution, is Manitoba’s largest 
heritage centre and number one paid tourist attraction with over 250,000 
visitors annually, including 80,000 students. We uniquely combine human 
and natural history themes, multidimensional interpretation, science and 
astronomy education with quality school and community programs, special 
events and exhibits.

Reporting to the Executive Director and key member of the Senior 
Management Team, we are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Museum 
professional to lead all areas of responsibility including research, 
collections, conservation, and exhibits. Experience in capital renewal 
planning and execution is an asset.

Supported by a dynamic and professional museum staff, dedicated Senior 
Management Team and committed Board of Governors, your creativity and 
strong leadership skills will contribute significantly to our goal of 
balancing fiscal responsibility with our Vision of “redefining the 
museum experience, sparking the imagination, transforming how we relate 
to the world”.

Along with a passion to work within a non-profit team environment, you 
will have several years of Museum senior management experience in a 
multi-discipline setting, a post-graduate degree in a related field such 
as history, natural science, conservation, collections management, 
museum studies or business administration and a proven track record of 
success.
