Recently, by chance, I came across Techsoup.  It's the organization that
many software companies including Microsoft and Adobe, use to donate their
software to Canadian and American non-profits.  Despite seeming to be 'to
good to be true', it does appear to be genuine (I've haven't come across any
sites that discredit it) and Microsoft do mention them on their own website.
You can buy for example, MS Office 2007 for $20, or the Adobe Design Premium
Suite for $160 -  a mere saving of about $1500!

You apply for eligibility which is a relatively straightforward process (we
were approved in about 3-4 weeks), then can pay their administration fee
(i.e. the $20) for the software which is often electronic download.  Voila!

There are limitations, e.g. for the Microsoft products you can only buy once
a year, but you can get up to 5 applications and 50 licenses each time.

So for those of you who aren't aware of it, I just wanted to share...
