Victoria           

 

Speaker Bill Barisoff today announced the launch of the /British 
Columbia Moments/, a joint project of the Legislative Assembly of 
British Columbia and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts.

 

To celebrate 150 significant events in the province's rich history, all 
British Columbians are invited to submit an entry to the Speaker.  
Entries can be made online at www.leg.bc.ca/moments 
<http://www.leg.bc.ca/moments> or a form can be obtained from your local 
Member of the Legislative Assembly.  150 specially engraved stones to 
commemorate each /moment/ will be laid on the grounds of the Parliament 
Buildings in Victoria.

 

The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 12^th , 2008.  Each 
participant will receive a certificate signed by the Speaker.
