Archives and Erin Suliak, Archivist, NWT Archives
Description: Oral history collections are valuable archival resources =20=
that require care and attention beyond traditional archival =20
practices. Aimed at archivists who manage oral histories among their =20=
holdings, this workshop will introduce methodologies for the =20
assessment and management of oral history collections, explore =20
arrangement and description issues, and review the identification and =20=
characteristics of sound carriers. The course also includes a primer =20=
on equipment, standards and storage of digitized audio, and will =20
provide participants the opportunity to try digitization themselves.
