Holiday Hours and Holiday Inventory Sale at Your Kelowna Museums
- Inventory Sale December 14 to 24, Okanagan Heritage Museum closed December 25 to January 1

To allow staff time to celebrate the holidays and to prepare the Museum for an exciting new exhibition, the Okanagan Heritage Museum will be closed December 25 through to January 1. The Museum will resume normal hours of operation on Saturday, January 2.

Currently on exhibit is On Solid Ground which tells the story of rock climbing in the Okanagan and the many local trailblazers who pioneered the sport. On Solid Ground is on exhibit until December 19th. Over the holiday season staff will install the next exhibition, Is There Anybody Out There which explores the history of amateur radio communication in the valley. Is There Anybody Out There opens to the public on January 23 and runs until July 3, 2010.

The BC Wine Museum & VQA Wine Shop will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day. Throughout renovations of the Laurel Packinghouse the Wine Shop will be open for business seven days a week and will continue with its monthly complimentary wine tasting, the Neighbourhood Nosh, the first Thursday of every month. The next Neighbourhood Nosh event is January 7, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Finally, the gift shop at the Okanagan Heritage Museum is holding a pre-Christmas inventory sale December 14 to December 24. Choose from a selection of giftware, home décor, educational toys, Okanagan souvenirs, and more, at discounted prices. Pick up some stocking stuffers and support the Kelowna Museums.
