Singers Wanted for new FELICE Women's Choir

Audition on Thur, Dec. 17 and Mon, Dec. 21 at 10am-12noon
Gathering Place at Leigh Square Community Arts Village

 

December 9, 2009 - Port Coquitlam, BC: The new Felice Women's Choir
needs singers who are interested in learning and developing choral
skills in a friendly and supportive environment under the professional
tutelage of music conductor and director Mr. Hyun Jung KIM.  The newly
created FELICE Women's choir is a 100% non-profit, multicultural choir,
based in Port Coquitlam but open to everyone in Metro Vancouver.  Its
mission is to develop a community based women's choir that pursues
excellence in performance and celebrates a variety of repertoire from
classical to folk and pop.  Once established the Choir will perform at
community events and to groups in need as music has the power to touch
people's hearts.  Members of the choir will not only enjoy but also feel
rewarded in being part of a meaningful group that contributes to
community development. 

 

Auditions will take place Thurs, Dec. 17 and Mon, Dec. 21 at 10am to 12
noon in the Gathering Place at Leigh Square.  Looking for young adults
and adults under the age of 65 to audition.  Please bring any song to
the audition.  Annual membership fee to be established.

 

The FELICE Women's Choir is a new partnership with Leigh Square
Community Arts Village.  The Arts Village is dedicated to encouraging
and facilitating community development through arts, culture and
heritage by creating a visible presence for community cultural
activities within Port Coquitlam and contributing to the enlivening of
