Registrar  Kelowna Art Gallery

 

The Kelowna Art Gallery, an "A" status designated public gallery located
in this mid-sized city in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, is looking for
a dedicated, detail-oriented team player to come to work as our
registrar. This is a full-time position with benefits. Your duties would
include: record keeping and condition reporting for all works of art in
the collection and entering and leaving the gallery, scheduling shipping
of works of art/exhibitions, assisting with exhibition planning and
installation. 

 

Previous experience in a public gallery preferred. Education: a BA as
well as an MA in related field preferred. Excellent computer skills
especially in Access database and Excel spreadsheet on a PC platform
essential. 

 

Starting salary $32,000 annually + benefits. 

 

Closing date: 31 January 2010. 

Start date for position is flexible, target is early spring 2010.
