Burnaby Village Museum has been offered a ca 1940 tractor.

The donor thinks it may be a John Deere but it has no markings on it.

The photos I have seen show a red tractor with a hydraulic loader
mounted on it. The tractor has a tricycle type wheel arrangement -
narrow at the front and wide at the back.

The red colour may make it a Farmall brand. It originates in Alberta and
was brought to BC when the donor's father retired to the coast. It is
operable but has a large dent in the engine cover and has been well
used. The loader box is definately a homemade affair.

I have three digital images of the tractor if anyone is interested
e-mail me and I will forward them.

I will pass any expressions of interest to the donor and she can make up
her mind.
