Our archives, Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing, is in possession of a
commerative invitation / program printed on silk. It is approximately 7 x 10".
This invitation was produced on the occasion of the laying of the original
cornerstone of the Provincial Royal Jubilee Hospital in 1858, so it is a
precious acquisition.  It is printed on both sides . Currently we have it
between two pieces of Mylar and it is stored flat . A new hospital tower is
being constructed and it has been requested that this invitation be put on
display for the occasion of the cornerstone laying.  </span></font>

The question is: can it be safely mounted between two pieces of glass and
displayed upright in order for both sides to be visible? Kind of framed like a

If so, is there a special method, kind of glass, sealing, air space - should it
be done as a temporary measure for the 1 day occasion or could it be
permanently  preserved in this manner and available for other viewing, but
generally stored in flat newspaper box?  </span></font>
