The Sooke Region Historical Society invites applications for the 
position of Executive Director/Curator of the Sooke Region Museum. </span></font>

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is 
responsible for administering the museum and the affairs of the 
Society according to policies established by the Board.</span></font>

<span style=" font-size:12pt">
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one university degree, 
training in museum studies, a minimum of three years experience in 
museum or heritage fields, will have a high degree of computer 
literacy, experience in financial management, staff management and 
public relations.</span></font>

<span style=" font-size:12pt">
The Society is particularly interested in interviewing candidates with 
a passion for history, with demonstrated initiative and a sense of 
commitment, who would enjoy working in a pleasant community 
with a dedicated Board, Staff and Volunteers in a team approach, 
maintaining and developing the stature that this regional southern 
Vancouver Island museum has achieved.&#160; Salary commensurate with 
experience.</span></font>
