*Artists invited to submit proposals to the Alternator Centre for
Contemporary Art *
KELOWNA, BC -- The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art in Kelowna,
B.C. asks artists interested in participating in 2010 to submit a
proposal by April 18, 2009.
The Alternator is a non-profit artist-run centre that supports a broad
range of contemporary art including public interventions, installation,
performance, sculpture, new media, traditional art mediums and other
special events. Preference will be given to innovative, radical or
controversial work not suitable for commercial or mainstream venues.
Artists are asked to submit 15 to 20 images of current work, an artist's
statement, an exhibition proposal and a current curriculum vitae along
with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the attention of the Selection
Committee, Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art, #103-421 Cawston Ave.
Kelowna, BC. V1Y 6Z1.
Submissions from individual artists and groups of artists as well as
independent curators are welcome. Professional artist fees are paid
according to the CAR/FAC national fee schedule.
