        Job Description:

 

        The Terrace and District Museum Society is looking for a skilled
individual to fill the full-time position of Curator at Heritage Park
Museum.  This position involves the    

        day-to-day operations and museum management of the Museum;
supervision of additional staff and volunteers, grant writing,
implementation of the Strategic Plan, 

        collections management, and organizing and hosting educational
programs, special events and exhibitions.

 

        Qualifications: 

 

*         A degree in Museum Studies, History or Anthropology or a related
discipline. 

*         Some previous experience in working in a museum or related
institution 

*         Understand the importance of preservation, conservation and
historical accuracy

*         Previous experience working with volunteer boards

*         Past experience writing grant applications

*         Past experience implementing special projects 

*         A demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple
priorities and projects 

*         Past supervisory experience and excellent leadership skills

 

Salaried Position: $37,000 to $42,000 a year depending on skill set and
experience.
